Tiling a landing
Hi, I'm laying tile at the entry to my basement suite. It's about 12 sq ft atop 9 stairs. Its sheathed in osb, I think it's 5/8. Do I need to beef it up with another layer of ply or is it strong enough. It feels sturdy and being just under 40 in wide, I'm assuming the joists are around 14 oc?
Thanks for the help |

Tiling a landing
Hi,
How about a name to call you by? You can edit signature. 5/8" OSB is not allowed as a subfloor anywhere that I'm aware of. Check it out and also check the on-center spacing of the joists and their size too. Is the space isolated or is the framing part of the rest of the area? Jaz
