Tile by Threshold

Hello, I am laying some tile in my basement entryway. Need some advice, with the threshold. Should I remove the old threshold and tile under it then get a new threshold? Or do I just tile right up to the existing threshold?

Now, if I remove the existing and tile under the threshold and put a new one down, the new one will need to be not as high. I'm assuming they make different heights of the thresholds, correct?

Also when installing the new threshold, do I just screw holes in the tile into the cement then anchor them down?

Never done this, just thinking it through,

thanks in advance

Tile by Threshold

I'm here--a couple of questions first---does the door swing in over the tile?

How high is the existing threshold above the floor?

What's it made of--wood or aluminum.

Do you have a picture?
