Tile Saw?

Looking at buying an $88.00 7" tile saw from HD. Anybody have any experience with these? Planning on laying about 1000sqft of 18" tile.

Tile Saw?

I have one. The saw is fine, the blade is a piece of junk. Buy a new blade and you will be fine. Trust me don't use the blade it comes with, it will chip every tile.

Of course $88 plus $35 for a new blade, you may be better off just buying a better saw.

Exactly right. The blade is kuh-kuh.

We have three tile saws. Expensive, mid range, and the little yellow $88.00 HD one (with different blade).

That little one has laid many a tile job (smaller sized tiles). One of our workers is an experienced tile installer (7 years full time)...and he loves that little saw.

Had him work on this little job last week with it. The inside corner was not square, so he had to trim the edges of the tile down (both sides), as they went into the corner. Nice clean cuts:

Blade recommendations? Or just any other than the one that comes with the saw?
