OK, so,hear is a question.
Some time ago my mom had somebody come over to try and remove wallpaper in her spare/guest bathroom. They butchered the drywall. She asked me what to do. I said gut the walls, and put new 1/2" drywall up all over, including the shower. New tile yadah yadah yadah. Dad said NO,
Ok, so the next answer was put 1/4" drywall over the existing 3/8". I had it butt up perfectly to the shower tile.
However now, my mom wants to have a trim tile covering 2" of the new drywall because the 4 times a year this shower gets used some water splashes onto the drywall.
I think I found something she likes, however on to the question!
What is the best way to adhere glass tile to the existing ceramic tile and the drywall?
It is a 3" x 6" subway tile. Should I rough up the existing ceramic tile first and then use a mastic? If so, is there a specific type?
Like I said this shower gets used maybe 4 times a year.
