Tile to Molding Transition

Hi... I am going to tile the left area of the image and tile up the wall as a border...I am putting molding down above the platform... are there any creative ways I can join these 2 materials so it does not look like this?

Consider installing a plinth block at the end of the wood base. It will provide a "termination point for both the wood and tile bases. Plinth blocks are sometimes used at the bottom of door frame casings. They are usually around 1" thick by 4" to 6" tall by 3.5" to 4" wide. Some include bevelled edges or filagree such as turned rosette or star. They are available at your local big box store.

Josh,
The plinth block would be fine. If you don't want that, I would at the very least miter and return the end of the base molding into the wall so it looks finished. Then maybe some kind of trim tile going up the wall vertically with a bullnose edge on the right so it looks finished.
