Tile, hardwood and subfloor.

Hello All,
I have recently purchased bamboo floors. I am going to be installing it when i move into my newly purchased condo. Currently there is laminate over a 5\8 ply subfloor.I will also be looking at remodeling the kitchen, laundry & bath with newer tiles. Does the thickness have to vary where the hardwood and ceramic will be? i'll be installing 5\8" thikness bamboo floor.
2 - I'm planning on tiling the entrance approx 3' X 5' foot section and then installing hardwood floors to but against it. I will need some of the metal transitions (edge protection), would it be better to tile first, or to install the hardwood first.
Thanks for helping
Sly.

Tile, hardwood and subfloor.

Tile first using the edging. Then if something is out of wack the wood is a lot easier to trim and adjust if necessary.

Thanks that's great info. What about subfloor difference will both flooring product's end up being the same height.

I have no idea. Some people get really anal about that but I'm not one of them. If materials vary heights can vary a little. In all of my years this variance has never been an issue for customers.
