tile to carpet transition

Hello, I just finished tiling the entry way of my basement walkout door. I am looking at how to transition from tile to carpet. I have seen some tile metal strips that where some of the metal strip go under the tile. But I already laid the tile and put it in mortor. So I don't know what my next step will be. I was looking at some videos with the transition strips that go from tile to carpet but doesn't look like the strip goes under the tile.

If anyone could help me figure out what type of strip to use that would be great.

Post a picture of what you ended up with.
Really needed to have this planed out before tiling. You may end up having to go back and removing a row of tile to make whatever you decide on fit.
May want to stop by a real tile store or at least a Lowes or HD and take a look at what's avalible.
There's dozens of differant materals and styles so it's hard to suggest one that will work for you.

tile to carpet transition

I should of had this planned out better before I started, but first time i've done this so its a learning step by learning the hard way. If I do need to remove the first row, I will avoid that by adding some decorative tiles on the end piece. But if I don't need to I won't.

I haven't watched the videos that were posted since I'm at work.

From what I have seen online is that some of the strips go under that last piece of tile. And some that don't, where they put the carpet tack strips up to the tile and tuck the carpet up to the tile.

If I get a chance tonight or this weekend i'll post some pic of what I got going on.

Also, the carpet in my basement won't be stretched or attached to the floor in any way. Reason, is the need to remove incase of flooding.
