Tile before or after cabinets

We'll probably have our tile installed in out bathroom by a professional. He wants to put the tile down before the cabinets. Is that the right way to do it or is it just easier for him?

It can be done both ways. I like the tile down first then if the wife decides she wants a different vanity you know it will happen they change their mind like they change their clothes. will look ok and you wont be trying to patch it up. nice clean look and easier to do with more room in the bathroom. My wife has changed her mind at least 6xs today on where she wants the dining room and living room back n forth Next week when she sees a vanity with legs she may want one then yo will wish yu hat tile under there.

It's both better and easier, and therefore cheaper and better for you.

We just discussed this issue last week...
“The average American woman is about 25 pounds heavier than she was in 1960...Recognizing obesity as a disease will help change the way the medical community tackles this complex issue that affects approximately 1 in 3 Americans,”

Will yous save me a trip to the hardware store? I have the plywood down but don't have the tile or cement board yet. I want to install the waste drains in the wall. How much higher will I have to put the drain to compensate for the tile & cement board---1"??????
