tile around door jamb?

Does ceramic floor tile get installed under a door jamb or will it get cut and fit up to the jamb. I am getting ready to install a door on a new bath that will have tile floor, and need to know whether to put the jamb on the subfloor or hold it up to clear the tile.

Why not tile first, then install the jambs? That way, you'll know precisely how long to cut the jambs.

Another option is to go ahead and install the jambs and use an undercut saw when tiling so you can fit the tiles underneath.
