Threshold insert too wide
I just attempted to replace an old (1960) aluminum threshold's vinyl insert. Apparently, they're now made wider because it's way wider than the original, or too tall when installed, and sticks up where the edges should overlay flat on the threshold. Do I have to buy a whole new aluminum threshold (mine's in great shape, don't want to unnecessarily replace, or are there narrower ones?). The insert I bought fits M-B thresholds, and God knows what the threshold is that is in my house. I'd love any advice anyone can give. Thanks in advance!!
