Thermal Break For Tile

Has anyone come across an underlayment material that can be used as a thermal break between concrete and tile? I'm tired of really cold tile floors in the winter. Would a latext crack isolation membrane create noticable difference in the transfer of heat and cold from my slab to the tile?

I understand that slippers are the cheapest solution .

You could place ceramic tile on wall to wall carpet, and in the morning it will still be ice cold. Ceramic and stone feel cold because they literally suck the heat right out of your feet. It's not just cold floors or cold slabs.

Have you looked into electric radiant heat mats for under tile? Do a search for Nuheat and Suntouch.
