is there a graceful way to change orientation of laminate floor

I am installing laminated floor perpendicular to the opening of the closet opening. The closet opening is 6 feet wide. But inside the closet, I wanted the laminate plank to go parallel to the opening. Is there an easy way to do this. Can you cut the pieces and glue it back

Only way to do it is with a transition Tee strip.
