Has anyone ever textured over wallpaper. The wallpaper is in our bathroom and has been on for 13 years and is still solid....not lifting anywhere. 10 ft ceilings in bathroom so bath doesn't really get steamy. Approx 9x12. We've been told if we use an oil base primer that it should be fine. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this?
Before you try texturing your wall make sure you use an oil base primer to seal the wallpaper, this should keep the moisture out. But nothing is fool proof and you might still get bubbles and to fix that problem you would have to cut out the bubbles and repair the problem.
My advice, I would remove the wallpaper fix and patch any cracks and then apply a good oil primer to the wall and then put your textured finish onů
