temperature for installing plank flooring
1. can installation of pine plank flooring be done in below freezing temps or should I wait until it gets warmer? (finishing/painting to be done when warmer).
2. if installing on wood floor joists (25 inch span), is it necessary to have a sub-floor?
3. is it necessary to have a moisture barrier if there is no sub-floor and if there is a 2 inch air space between the plank-flooring and insulation?
4. is a moisture barrier needed on second-floor plank flooring (joist span 20 inches) if insulated 20-25inches along the perimeter wall where the cold can creep in?

Planking should be acclimated to room temp; joists are spaced too far apart. 16" max.
How thick is the planking?

Thanks for the reply. We are dealing in centimeters since I'm in Europe. Floor joists are 50cm centers and planks are 3cm thick tongue and groove, 10cm wide. Temp inside house and out is the same since it is not yet insulated.

Unless you want cold air and rising moisture to come up between the flooring your install then install Advantec subflooring.
Is this T & G plank flooring?
