T-molding angle cut issues
I recently installed Pergo in our living room. I need to install t-molding between the new flooring and our tile. The t-molding i bought is 1 3/4" wide. The measurements of the t-molding will be, 2' then a 140 degree turn, 8" and then another 140 degree turn, then 1'.
I have wasted a couple of t-molding peices already. Just can't seem to wrap my brain around the angle. I have gotten the piece to lineup but there would be overhang..
Any help would be great.
if i understand right the 140 degrees is the inside of the corner? that would be 40 degrees from 180 so 20 degree setting on the chop saw would turn you 40 degrees from straight and your inside angle would be 140 degrees. can you make a pencil marks on the floor where the molding will meet at the corner and use them to take your measurements from? you can use a couple of scraps of something the same width to fit it right before you cut the molding.
I use one of these, right cut every time.
