Swiftlock flooring in Mudroom.......

Gents, i am installing swiftlock flooring in my mudroom coming in from the garage to the basement.

So, long story short.......the builders somehow managed to throw off the square of the room. We are almost 4 inches off from on end to the other.

The room is 5 1/2' x 12'. The off measurement comes on the 12' side, so installing the planks in the direction of the length of the room is out. It will be totally noticeable.

I am thinking that if i install it with the planks going the direction of the 5 1/2' side, it will do a good job of hiding the out of square wall.

Think this is possible? Or has anyone seen anything like this before?

Just looking for options.

Thanks!

How about installing it at a 45 degree angle? I can't imagine a room that small with that much of a up.
But since it's a mudroom, how about a vinyl product?

I tried. It looked like ass.

Pulled it up and am going with laminate hardwood. I'm thinking that at a 45 degree angle, it may not lock together right.

They screwed it up by screwing up the stairs next to the mud room. I'm guessing the stairs were a few inches off, then they built the wall. Which threw it off.

You can get swiftlock in a vinyl product. It can look like wood, stone, cork, whatever. In planks or tiles. What type did you go with? If you go with the vinyl type don't forget to also let it sit in your house and acclimate to your environment for a few days.

There's a rubber floor with raised dots, about 3/4". Might be great for a mud room. It's sheet goods.
