Subfloor thickness under carpet
Hi, I have 7/16 OSB that was installed in an unfinished space when my house was built (about 15 years ago). The joists are 16 inches apart. I am now finishing the space and will be putting carpet into the room.
Is there anything in the building codes that would indicate putting in a thicker subfloor? Am I asking for trouble by using the existing subfloor? Thanks! |
