subfloor for radiant heat with tile

Hello, We are down to the subfloor which is 1/2 thick plywood. The radiant heat we are using is hydro and the tubing will be placed into pre channeled plywood that is 1/2 thick. Can we place 1/4 fiber rock + the barrier paper on top of that and then tile? OR do we need to add to the sub-floor for tile support? Thanks

Hello,

we are doing the hydronic radiant heat too and we put Cement backerboard (Durock brand, 1/2") underneath the tile. No Barrier paper. So far we have only put tile in our bathroom and part of the hallway and no problems so far.
