Stripping rubber padding off a parquet floor
Hi All ! Here I am -the absolute rank beginner.
I am removing the carpet and foam rubber padding to re-do a parquet floor. The Carpet, as well as 90% of the foam rubber padding came up easily.
But there are these spots in high traffic areas where the foam rubber padding, (which was under the carpet) has been pounded down so its like hardened glue. I was gently using a paint scraper, but I am afraid I'll damage the parquet floor.
Any suggestions ?
a bit of damage is not too bad because you are gonna sand and refinish anyway.
see if a putty knife will scoop it up.
