Strand Bamboo on existing Engineered on Slab?

we are getting ready to install new strand woven bamboo floors. we currently have 3/8" engineered floors glued to the slab. additionally, we are removing carpet from 2 rooms that meet with the current engineered flooring to install the bamboo. would it be possible to lay a 6 mil moisture barrier & 3/8" plywood in these two rooms to raise to level with the engineered-and then 15lb felt over everything and staple the new bamboo down?

i know the glue under the engineered acts as a moisture barrier, so just curious if we should rip all of it up, just to lay 6 mil and sub floor-or if we can lay on top?
