stone/grout and laquer

I'm new at this both diy and asking questions. My question is, I just put in stone and grout front porch, a friend said you can paint it with laquer to give it the wet look. Can anyone tell me or know from experence is that true?

stone/grout and laquer

The good thing about the Internet is it is a never ending source of stupidity and will keep people intertained for decades to come.

There are sealers available for use with stone and cement products, I would stay with proven methods and not go-goofy based on someones silly ideas. Might also take a closer look at your friends.

My nomination for DIY Chatroom Project of the Month is: http://www.diychatroom.com/f49/gulf-island-building-34958/
