Stained Concrete Flooring Questions

I am wondering If I could put decorative concrete flooring in a double wide mobile home?

Stained Concrete Flooring Questions

I was reading about stained concrete flooring in homes. Was just trying to see if its possible to put in my manufactured home. As floors through the house.

Stained Concrete Flooring Questions

A decorative concrete floor treatment requires concrete to decorate; now you may get by by putting down concrete panels throughout, but even the best decorative overlays ready for staining require at least 1/8" or so of concrete to work with. Maybe - just maybe - 1/2" cbu would provide enough to overlay and then stain but I fear for the eventual cracking of the floor due to insufficnet stability in a mobile home.

I fear that you are probably right. That makes a lot of sense and I don't know if I want to do a full floor reenforcement. Right now it has the 12x12 sticky tile. Is there some type of sealer or something I could spray or spread over it to get seal them and hide the tile lines? Like a wax or something.

An overlay can be installed on a wood substrate if the floor has no bounce to it. It is a advanced procedure and training is needed. gene ec-Indy
