Squeeqing hardwood floor.

Whats the best way to reinforce the joist to prevent squeeqing.

In my crawlspace is saw diagonal bracing reinforcements.

I was wondering if i can use a 2 x 10 cut to the exact gap between joists
and use screws to tie the joists to this piece. These pieces would be slightly staggered going the length of the floor.
It seems stronger then the diagonal bracing.
