squeaky floors

Blkngup Newbie   Join Date: Dec 2012 Posts: 5	squeaky floors We have moved into a house that has very loud floors. Usually I would nail the wood down but there was new flooring installed and we don't want to replace it. How do I stop the squeaking?

What's the width of the floor joist, free spans, spacing? You say there's new flooring, what is it. Not going to like it but all this should have been addressed before the new flooring went in.

Blkngup Newbie   Join Date: Dec 2012 Posts: 5	squeaky floors There is carpet, linoleum, and the cheap wood floor. I've heard it called a floating wood floor. None of it is too hard to replace. Just not wanting to add to the list right now.
