Split level, wood stairs, painted risers, tile landing -- landing nosing?

I have a spilt level foyer home. I'm in the process of aggravatingly converting the carpet staircase to a wooden floor staircase with painted white risers. I want to do the entryway/foyer/landing with a tile. What should be at the edge going downstairs?

I was thinking another 3/4" hardwood bullnose, with the tile butted up to it, and matching the height (tile thickness/thinset/underlayment etc.). I can't see how tile all the way to the edge would look good.

Thanks.
