Spilled Candle Wax on Laminate Floor

My daughter spilled a whole jar candle full of hot wax on our laminate floor. Thankfully she was uninjured. I removed the colored wax by very gently using a spatula to scrape it off the surfaces, however, there is still a waxy build-up and you can see where the wax was. Does anyone have any ideas about the best way to get of this wax?? I appreciate all ideas!

Spilled Candle Wax on Laminate Floor

Once heard someone using a hair dryer on low and then wiping the wax residue.

Have not tried it so I do not know if it works?

Use some type of standard thinner. Acetone would work nice and evaporates quickly. Apply using a rag and rub gently until the residue is removed. Try not to saturate the laminate with any liquids as this could cause bubbling into the surface of the floor.

use a brown paper bag and an iron on low. do not touch the iron directly to the cpt. you will need a few bags most likely.
eventually you will get a good amount up.
the iron will soak the wax into the bag.

I agree with the acetone or laquer thinner. If you dont soak the flooe with it, it wont hurt the laminate. Engineered or solid wood flooring is a different story.
