I have a spacer problem. The drywall does not go to the floor, so the drywall fits under it. We decided to keep the molding on because taking it off destroys the good paint job (an earlier idea on this blog to secure boards to the wall won't work here). Spacers slip under the molding and drywall, unfortunately, so we are using 1/4" plywood as spacers. The job is slow because after placing each board, it must be considered if the whole floor is still square. Any ideas for hurrying this job without removing the molding?
When trying to get an answer to a problem like yours, pictures would sure help. I am having a hard time imagining what you are talking about. Please post some pics for anything better than a wild guess for an answer.
