Spacers for laminate flooring

I am installing laminate flooring in our family room. I did not take off the baseboards, as there was carpet, therefore there is plenty of room for the flooring to "float" under the baseboard. I will put quarter round down once the laminate is installed. The problem that I am having is that the spacers keep sliding under the baseboard and will not stay in an upright position. Any recommendations?

I had the same problem where my drywall is gapped off the slab. I made my own spacers.

I use the off cuts from my rips. Tack 'em to the baseboard? I always remove the baseboards and tack to the wall where the base will be going though.
