soft spot in laminent floor?
 

hello im going to put ceramic tile down in my kitchen. After i pull the laminent up how do i fix this soft spot. Will some type of mortar under the cement board be enough assuming its not due to water damage. Do i need to pull the whole peice of plywood up? if i do what do i do about the cabnit in front of it?

Do you have access to the floor from below?

pull up lywood and look. or go from under and look if you can

thanks guys. I can get into the basement and look up. what do you want me to do then< besides the obvious asses the situation? so motar wont stabilize? why not
