SnapStone Tile

I have a new kitchen addition that has 9 1/2" Eng. joists, Advantec 3/4".
The older kitchen section, built in the early fifties, has 6" joists, 3/4" ply.
My wife would like a tile floor, but i'm worried about it cracking, above the small joists. I don't know if new cross bracing would help that much.
The earlier posts on SnapStone are nearly 4 years old.
I would like to know if SnapStone "floating" tile and "flexible grout" would be a good alternative in my case.
Any new comments, or reviews on SnapStone ?

Thanks
