small low spot in subfloor

I am getting ready to lay laminate in my living room (15' x 20'). The living room is an addition to a 1940's built home. Currently ther is carpet and I can feel a dip in the trasisition between the addition and main structure. What is the best product to use to to level this up before install?

If it's 1/4l", you can lay down underlayment or paneling.

Use a Portland patching material. There are many brands such as Ardex, Henry, Durabond, etc. Just nothing premixed.

The problum with a piece of 1/4 anything is all you have done is move the step further out, It needs to be a gadual step down. Floor levler with a 2 X 4 used as a screed will give you the taper you need.

Oh. I thought it was a consistent difference, starting at the transitions.
