Small Crack on Tile in kitchen area

Hello Folks,

I have a small crack in a tile on the kitchen area. Not sure how it happened, maybe I bought the house with such unseen damage. I was wondering if there is a way to mitigate the problem without having to replace the small tile piece. Below is a pic depicting the problematic tile:

Thanks for any help.

That is a weak cut----that's why it broke ---It's not an indication on a failing floor.

I suggest you leave it alone--

If you have matching tile and that really bothers you come back --one of us will tell you how to fix it.

I agree with Mike. When the tile was cut to fit around the door jamb it would have been cut like a fat U shape. The bottom of the U, being skinnier than the rest of the tile made that spot week, hence it cracked when trying to fit it under the door jamb. One thing you could do to camouflage the crack is to take some appliance touch up paint or model car paint and work it into the crack to hide the unglazed interior of the tile itself. If the floor under it was failing the crack would have continued into the grout and the next tiles, they all look good to me.

Mike and Mickey, thanks a lot for your help and suggestions. I will try some touch-up paint to see if it makes it at least less noticeable.
