Slab floor leveling.

I used sand topping and it lifted and stepping on it made it snap off easily...like walkindlg on big potato chips for lack of a better description.
Well yea, I thought why that happened was answered in post #6.

it is necessary to "bond" to the slab.
I'm wonder why the rest of it is still there. You said it won't come up. It somehow stuck, or it may be because it's thicker...heavier.

If you only need 3 bags to finish, that's what I would do, cheap enough, no?

Jaz

I'm on my sixth bag of levelor... I could have stopped at 4 for carpet but going for "glue down carpet squares" which i imagine cant seem over rough edges.

Yes, Jazman, the center of the whole floor patch was thicker and seemed to be so massive, it will never move...putting levelor around the edges made it solid with no more hollow noise...sounded hollow because cement shrunk a little an 1/8 inch underneath.

Can't thank you enough for hangin' in there with me Jazman, and other moderators too, thank you very much!
