sheet vinyl in a bathroom

Redoing my sons bath and using sheet vinyl on the floor.
All the installation advice mentions 1/8 gap for expansion. What do you do at around the tub edge? I'd like a clean finish.

Will I use caulk or a 1/4 round or just a snug fit.

Thanks

Jack

I bring the vinyl to within 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch of the tub and then use a thin bead of silicone caulk. My goal is to have an unobtrusive, water tight joint (so water can't get under the vinyl due to dripping when leaving the tub) and this method accomplishes both goals.

Most homecenters sell a plastic strip to cover that. It looks like a narrow piece of cove base and is peel and stick.

I guess I could try the bead and use the plastic cove as a back up if I screw up or am not happy with the look. Thanks, guys

It's called cove strip and it looks better than 4 inch high cove base.
