Sealing/painting cement slab for humidity?

Hi,

I am redoingmy sub floor in the basement with 2x2 dricore tiles and was wondering if there would be any advantage or disadvantage to painting/sealing the cement slab before installing the 2x2 tiles. Would it cut the humidity even more?

There are some cracks in the cement do I have to fill those before laying the subfloor down?

Also is there any benefit to gluing the dricore tiles together since they are already tongue and groove?

I think it would be a waste of time. First, floors should never be painted, if anything slabs can be stained. Paint will wear off and can peel in some circumstances. Paint will do nothing to reduce humidity. If you have high humidity your Dricore underlayment would work either. Did you read the Dricore info well?
