sealing painted concrete
just for added moisture/radon protection, was thinking about sealing basement concrete floor before flooring. the floor, however is painted (however not chipping). i have found a couple of products that say can be applied on 1 layer of latex ("Ion-Bond Armor" product from Radonseal and also some subsurface membrane sealer from the same supplier).
anyone know if these products work? is there another product that's even better (Bastik, thoroseal, dryloc are other names I have seen)? finally, how do i know if the existing paint is latex versus oil? finally, what's the best product for the walls (also existing paint)? btw, not worth going through the hassle of sanding the paint off |
