We ripped up the carpet, linoleum and vinyl flooring in our 1954 ranch house to find gorgeous, already stained concrete floors.
After scrubbing up all the adhesive (Krud Kutter rocks my world) we found that all of the floors are already sealed and shiny except in the kitchen.
Before we seal it, there are some paint splatters we want to clean up but can't seem to remove. How should we go about cleaning stains from our stained concrete without harming the color before we seal it? Will an etching product clean it?
I doubt you will be able to remove the splatters without affecting the sealer. I would probably do a good cleaning and reseal the concrete entirely. chemicals will affect the sealer. I usually use an abraisive wheel on my drill motor to get off old paint spots. etching is used on bare concrete typically.
