Screen Porch Tiling

I have a screened in porch. Screens on 3 sides, house wall and sliding glass door from inside house to porch on one side, roof over porch. Located in SC so freezing, frost heaves, etc. not an issue. Porch does get wet during heavy rain.

Porch floor is poured concrete that has been "painted" with latex, epoxy one part (Rustoleum), concrete paint. Paint adheres well and not an issue but I want to "dress" up the floor more with ceramic/porcelain tile.

While I have done tiling myself on a similar porch, what concerns me this time is will the present floor (because of the paint) need any special prep? If so, what prep?

All the paints going to have to be ground off for any hope of the thin set sticking.
