Hello, I just came across some 16" x 16" 100% recycled rubber interlocking floor tiles at my local home depot. They're a great value and I'm wondering about using them in a new bathroom (basement suite) with a shower stall. I'm not sure if we should
a) use them at all;
b) apply them straight onto the concrete floor;
c) build a wood subfloor.
The product name is Multy Active Floor - can't find anything about it on the web.
I'm looking for an alternative to tile, just find it cold and slippery. Any thoughts or wisdom is welcome.
padded vinyl sheet one piece flooring might be better. or cork. i agree 100% too, tile on a bathroom floor in winter sux!
had it one season here, took it out that summer... lol
waterproofing is a must, or like Bill said, it's gonna be a stinky mess....
i wonder though if he could use a silicone based caulk/glue to do the seams?
