Rubber Backed Rugs on Laminate

I can't find any information on whether or not you can use rubber backed or sponge backed rugs on laminate flooring. Some surfaces are damaged by these rugs and in looking at care and maintenance of laminate flooring there is no mention of rug backing.

Rubber Backed Rugs on Laminate

You're looking to the wrong people for that info. How would the laminate manufacturers know what type or quality rug you are buying?

Generally, you should not use rubber backed rugs on any floor that can fade or discolor. So....NO rubber backed rugs.
