Reuse concrete board

Is it possible to remove older tile and replace with new tile using the same concrete board. Will the concrete board need to be replaced ? Will it become smooth enough to use again?

Is it possible?
Yow it could be.

Is it likely?
Nope.

Will it become smooth enough to use again?
That is anybodies guess.
