Removing Wire Mesh And Scratch Coat/Mortar

1 Attachment(s)
I hammered/chistled out 5 partial 13 inch limestone tiles in order to replace them with full tiles. The tile company used wire mesh with scratch cost and mortar to secure the tiles.

I want to remove the old tile bedding without disturbing the intact tiles. Can anyone suggest how to cut through the exposed cement and mesh near the good tiles.

Many thanks.

Sure! That's easy. Use a 4" grinder with a diamond blade.:)

Thanks, I got the same advice from the guy who installed the kitchen cabinets today. The diamond blade worked well except for the cloud of dust that lingered 1/2 hr after finishing.

Now it is cleaned up.
