removing thinset from old wood floor
We bought a 90 yr. old house with cheap (relatively new) 12" square tiles over part of the original longleaf pine wooden floor (a house flipper job). A couple of tiles have come off and there appears to be thinset under the tiles over wood. 1) what is the best way to take off the tiles, and 2) can the thinset be sanded off by a floor refinisher? We have no idea of the state of the wood floor under the tiles; the rest of the floors are in pretty good shape.
