Removing old carpet glue to lay laminate
We are tearing out a very old carpet from a concrete floor (indoor) and concerned that the underlay has been glued to the concrete. What products or techniques are best for this - and how important is it to get it all up if we are putting a new underlay down under the laminate? Help!

I used paint stripper, and a scraper. It sucks.

Removing old carpet glue to lay laminate
The existing floor doesn't have to be scraped enough to eat off of but there can be no patches or pieces of old foam left behind. The old glue won't affect the installation of new laminate. Remember to invest the 10 bucks for knee pads! Take it slow but do a thorough job.
