Removing glued on carpet from partial board


Help! We are removing carpet tht has been EXTRA glued on. It is back breaking! we need some answers..is there an easy way of removing this? can anyone help me?

Likely no.
What are you going to put down to replace the carpet?
Might have to get rid of the particle board in any case IMO.

If you are installing tile, the particle board must go anyway.

I agree, I would not waste my time trying to get it off. Partical board is one of the lamest ideas ever came up with.
It's not a sutable subflooring for any flooring.
It gets wet just once and it turns to oat meal.

We are putting down Laminate wood floors. When we pull up the carpet some on the partial board comes with it. its such a mess!

Then take the time to do it right and rip it all out now before it becomes an issue later on.
There is just 0 reasons to keep a partical board subfloor.

I agree with the others. i would just remove the particle board too.
