Removing color from colored grout

I recently installed tile for the first time in my laundry room. The tile job turned out okay but the grout dried blotchy. It was supposed to be a gray color called oyster gray but it basically dried bright white with spots of gray. I have tried some basic scrubbing and the white doesnt go away. I have not sealed the grout yet. Its been about 1 month since I installed the grout. I havent tried the acid route to see if the problem is possibly efflorescence. I actually like the look of the grout being a light color and i was wondering if there is an easy way to completely *bleach* the grout a single light color?

I just tried applying bleach to a small test spot and I am waiting for it to dry to see the results. I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to remove the color from the grout (bleach, prioxide, acid, etc). Also any techniques i should do or not do.

Thanks. Jeff

Try this: http://www.custombuildingproducts.co...er=pro&lang=en This is an epoxy grout sealer that will recolor the grout as you seal it. This will take care of sealing and coloring all at once. It'll work a lot better than trying to bleach it.
