remove old paint from concrete basement floor

I have a home built in the 50s and the concrete floor is covered in an undesirable paint color. I would like to remove it mechanically and I'm wondering what some good methods are? I want to get it back to bare concrete. Thanks!

Not sure how much paint you are trying to get up, but I have had good luck using simple green to strip paint from old metal door knobs, and just recently used "goof off" to get caulk, paint and glue off a tile floor.

The simple green I soaked the door knobs, so depending on the area that needs paint removed you could make make a little "pool" and let it soak.
