Remove ceramic tile and quickset
Bought a flipped house
Knew the floor was a hidden event
The living room was hardwood, was hoping it at one
time extended into the kitchen. There is a step up of
about 3/4" from living room to kitchen
As Gomer used to say Surprise Surprise
they laid ceramic clay tile using quickset to level the floor
with embeded wire mess over three layers of linoleum.
Some of the quickset in 3/4" thick.
So now I want to remove the old floor down to the plywood
overlay. I know that because I pulled out the origional wood
cabinets and they were sitting on what looked like ply.
However I tried a sledge hammer and it is doing to much
impack on the wood underlay.
Any ideas on how to DIY this floor removal.
I use one of these with a tile blade. It's wide and has a raised spot in the middle to lift and crack the tile down the middle.
One of what
were you indicating a tool to use to split the tile
hwat about the steel mesh
Opps I forgot to include the attachment.
This and a floor scrapper will take it all off.
