remodeling


I have ripped out old carpet fr my stairs to find a beautiful wood which looks like birds eye maple but the people who layed the carpet had underlay its black an im having a hard time removing it off the wood, anyone have suggestions as to what i could use to remove it? thanx.

hey hello.
Sounds like you have a fun & exciting project ahead of you.
I wish I had a better answer for your question, however I haven't done the removal of old underlay myself. I have been told you use steam, but that could be wrong. Isn't it a shame when people cover wood with carpet.
Anyhow, wish I could be more help .... hopefully someone else here has the answer you need.
