reflooring mobile home texas fishing port
looking for suitable flooring for this application.
we recently purchased a 20 yr old double-wide mobile home at a texas gulf fishing port. it is in decent shape, considering age. we pulled out the carpets, which were thoroughly dog-peed, down to the plywood. some areas (kitchen and bathrooms) have roll vinyl (second layer over the original). we likely will rent this place to week-enders when it is fixed up. looking for something suitable for install over plywood. elegance is not important. durability is important, and worth paying for, but balanced against the remaining life of the structure. ease of cleaning is important. am inclined against vinyl tiles, given the inherently un-even and flexing plywood floor. am inclined against roll vinyl as difficult to repair scratches and gouges. is indoor-outdoor carpet suitable over plywood? the only wood laminate i have seen was built on a cheap particle board, probably susceptible to water damage. are there any good laminates at reasonable cost? other ideas? |
